What is a Goose Box?

Tight schedules and lack of time mean that few people in the City get the opportunity to cook on a regular basis.

Well, now you can have your gourmet meal and cook it, too. Soren Jessen and Chef Juri Ravagli of city dining institution 1 Lombard Street have created Goose Box - an impromptu gourmet experience to enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

The chef designed a collection of seasonal specials and 1 Lombard Street signatures that contains the makings of dinner for two or more.

When you open the box, you'll find all the necessary ingredients vacuum-sealed, already chopped, blanched, or otherwise prepped.
All you need to do is finish the job, by pan-roasting the rack of lamb, say, or searing the scallops. If you are after more of a culinary challenge, we have a few of those on offer too.


The ingredients themselves are fresh and expertly sourced from top restaurant suppliers, better than anything you can find in the supermarket. The instructions are so well detailed and easy to follow that you should sit down to a superb dinner within thirty to forty minutes of opening the box and if you get rid of the packaging your guest will be under the impression you laboured over dinner all day.

Damaged in Transit Items
All our items are carefully packed by hand and vacuum packed, but should your order be damaged whilst in transit, or you are unhappy with the item please contact us at 1 Lombard Street Restaurant on 02079296611 or email us at info@goosebox.co.uk, explaining the situation and the reason for the return request. We will then either replace the damaged or dissatisfied item at no additional cost to you or refund you the cost of the goods or offer a credit on your next order. This will be at our discretion and subject to availability.
We reserve the right to ask you to either return the damaged/unwanted items (our driver will collect) immediately or provide an additional evidence of the damage such as a photograph, before a refund or replacement is sent out.

Wrong Food
If you get your food different from the receipt, we are really sorry. Please call us within 30 min from the collection/delivery time if there is anything wrong with your order. You may come to pick it up or ask us to redeliver within our usual delivery time slots and postcodes. If you wish to cancel the wrong item/s before we prepare the replacement, we will refund you the cost.

Missing Food
It's a rare case, but possible. Please call us within 30 min from the collection/delivery time if there is anything missing from your order. You may come to pick it up or ask us to redeliver within our usual delivery time slots and postcodes. If you wish to cancel the missing item/s before we prepare the replacement, we will refund you the cost.

Don't Like The Food
In some cases you may get the exchange or a credit towards your next order. There won't be any refund. For exchange, you may not get the differences of the value of the food back. If the new food has more value, you will be asked to cover the balance.

Food Delay
We are trying really hard to deliver the food to you on time. If we are delayed for some reason, you may get the delivery fee back in a credit to be used against any future orders.

Return / Cancel
Sorry, we are unable to make a refund after all the food has been cooked and prepared. If you would like to cancel your order please call us at least 24 hours in advance.

Complimentary Food
Sorry, no refund on any complimentary food.

Returning Goods
If you wish to return any ordered food item to 1 Lombard Street Restaurant for reasons other than defects or damage in transit, we will not be able to process a refund.
